The Creative Process

At the heart of Phantom Clone is David, the songwriter and creative force who pens every lyric and melody. Each song begins as a human story, shaped by experience and emotion, before being refined using AI tools that enhance the sound, flow, and atmosphere.

Until recently, the band worked closely with Udio to bring this music to life. With Udio’s recent change to their terms and conditions, Phantom Clone will take a short creative pause following the release of Unbroken while exploring new platforms such as Suno.
The lyrics will always remain human-written, but our sound may evolve as we move into this new creative era. Behind the scenes, we’re already planning our next chapter — and we’ll be back stronger than ever.

The Journey Through Our Albums

Fierce

Our debut album Fierce marked the beginning of the journey, an experimental phase where we were exploring what Phantom Clone could become. It’s a little raw and disjointed at times, but a powerful start that laid the foundation for everything that followed.

Horizons

With Horizons, the band began to find its direction. The songs were more thematically focused on the world around us, exploring hope, struggle, and human connection — while we continued experimenting with different AI platforms to refine our sound.

Rebellion

Rebellion was the turning point. Here, we discovered the Phantom Clone sound, bold, emotional, and full of energy. The lyrics drew deeply from personal experiences past and present, and the quality of production took a major leap forward as Udio matured as a creative tool.

Battleground

Our fourth album Battleground pushed the sound even further. The writing became more deliberate, with an emphasis on rhythm, phrasing, and the use of synonyms to create richer lyrical textures. This album marked another step in both artistic and technical evolution.

Midnight

Midnight represents the heart of Phantom Clone, the album where everything came together. It takes listeners on an emotional journey through love, trust, courage, and healing, culminating with Finally, a song that captures the moment of finding the love of a lifetime.
It’s the sound of Phantom Clone fully realised, powerful, heartfelt, and unmistakably ours.

Unbroken

Our latest release, Unbroken, celebrates love and all the trials it takes to find, nurture, and keep it alive. Each song reflects a stage of that journey, from enduring hardship to rediscovering strength, to standing together through the storms.
It’s a passionate and deeply personal album that represents everything Phantom Clone stands for: resilience, emotion, and the power of connection.

With Unbroken, we’ve reached a milestone, both musically and emotionally, and while we’re taking a short break to adjust to the changes in the AI landscape, the creative fire is still burning bright. The next chapter of Phantom Clone is already in motion.

Each video is built frame by frame using AI visual tools, then edited into finished clips available on YouTube and here on our site. These visuals complete the story, giving fans both a sound and a vision to connect with.
